When upgrading a Magic Key Pass, do I need the same card I purchased the pass with? And am I able to upgrade someone else's pass for them if I have their pass linked to my account?

Hey there, hi there, Katie! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your Magic Key question.

The buzz of Magic Key sales resuming has everyone excited and it sounds like you are looking to upgrade the current Magic Key that you have. To upgrade a Magic Key to a higher-tiered Magic Key, you will need to go to the Main Entrance Ticket Booths and do that in person. There you should be able to use any accepted payment type to pay for the difference in full. If you have someone else's Magic Key linked to your account, you will not be able to upgrade their Magic Key for them unless your Disney account was the account used to purchase the Magic Key. If you have any other questions before the sales resume, you can also reach out to the Magic Key Holders line for assistance.

As a Magic Key holder, have you taken advantage of the exclusive dining opportunity at Magic Key Terrace? It is my favorite spot to try to grab a reservation when I'm in Disney California Adventure Park. The menu does change from time to time, but there are a couple of items that I really hope never change. I cannot rave enough about the Quesabirria Flatbread and the Monte Cristo Corn Dog. They are both so delicious and nothing beats enjoying some good eats as you look out into the park from above Golden Vine Winery.

Katie, I hope you are able to upgrade your Magic Key and enjoy your time in the parks. See you real soon!
