Hi there, Carol! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I see you’ll be arriving very soon for your Disney vacation. I’m so glad you’re considering becoming an
Annual Passholder by upgrading your Park Tickets during your visit! There are so many amazing
benefits available to Passholders, not the least of which is access to unlimited
PhotoPass downloads throughout the year, for up to 365 days after each photo or video is taken!
I spoke with a Cast Member regarding your question, and I have confirmed that you will have access to your PhotoPass downloads beginning on the day you activate your Annual Pass. Once you activate/use your Pass for the first time, you will have access to any PhotoPass items beginning with the first day of use, which is only the same as the day you upgrade your ticket
if you upgrade your ticket before your first entry into the Parks. My recommendation for you would be to speak to
Guest Relations or stop by the new
Ticket Center at Disney Springs prior to entry into the Theme Parks during this next trip.
You do not need to purchase
Memory Maker prior to the trip unless you plan to wait to upgrade/use your Annual Pass until later in your trip. But in case you already have purchased it, the Cast Member I spoke with also let me know that as long as the Memory Maker is not yet activated, Guest Services could make a one time exception and refund you the price paid for this feature!
Carol, I know you are probably over the moon to be heading to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Congratulations on becoming an Annual Passholder soon! Check out these
Passholder Extras for more information on all the offerings that you will be able to access! With so much happening at the
Walt Disney World Resort this year, you couldn’t have picked a better time! Enjoy your vacation and please come see us again anytime we can help you make more magic!
See ya real soon,
Clara
