Hi We just upgraded to POFQ from POP. SO excited, but had to do the standard room. What is the best room rquest I can ask for closest to facilities, and maybe even refurbished. What buildings are refurbished so far? Any resort maps available? Thanks

Hi Alecia! Accommodations at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter Resort (POFQ) are themed after the famed New Orleans French Quarter. This resort consists of seven three-story guest-room buildings adjacent to the Sassagoula River and features an exceptionally themed pool, Doubloon Lagoon. When making reservations at POFQ, request Building 5, since you want a room in a refurbished building. This building is now either fully refurbished or almost there, is close to Doubloon Lagoon, and is relatively near the resort's main facilities. Take a look at the resort's map here. Please keep in mind that room requests are not guaranteed. However, Disney will try to accommodate your preferences based on the resort's occupancy and other factors. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Have a memorable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
