Have upgraded dining plan. Was told it’s just an overall bank though. So can we actually use the credits on more snacks/quick service versus using all of our table service credits? Whats the difference in the amount deducted between the diff style meals?

    Hi Stacey!

Welcome to planDisney!  My pal Chef Remy says "If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff" and believe me when I tell you that you are going to enjoy lots of "good stuff" during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  I just returned from my most recent stay where I tried several new restaurants and dishes that I loved.  The Disney Dining Plan will give you the flexibility and convenience to also explore so many wonderful meals during your visit!

Stacey, on the Disney Dining Plan, each member of your party will receive one Resort-Refillable Mug as well as one snack / non-alcoholic beverage, one Quick-Service meal, and one Table-Service meal per night of your package. When you arrive, you'll be able to view all of your allotted snacks and meals listed in their respective categories in your My Disney Experience Mobile App.  While you cannot trade a Quick-Service meal for a Table-Service meal, you don't have to use just one Table-Service meal, one Quick-Service meal, and one snack per night.  For example, if you're visiting an EPCOT festival one day and want to use several snacks at the various food kiosks, you can do so.  Or, you may choose to have a character breakfast one morning and dinner at 'Ohana that night - using two Table-Service meals in one day.  As you redeem each snack or meal, it will remove one from the allotted number in the appropriate category.

While you're planning your meals, there are a few things you'll want to keep in mind.  Advanced dining reservations are available and recommended for Table-Service restaurants.  Since you're staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, reservations are available for the entire length of your stay 60 days before your arrival however, if you don't see a reservation you were looking for or are making plans while in the parks, you can always check walk-up availability in your My Disney Experience Mobile App.  You can also use Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering in the app at Quick-Service locations.  When you place a mobile order, you'll be asked whether or not you would like to redeem any Quick-Service meals available from your dining plan.  Mobile ordering is one of my favorite time-saving tips in the parks!  If you find yourself looking for a bite to eat while visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I recommend mobile ordering from one of my favorite Quick-Service spots, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo.  I just had the Ronto Wrap with a side of Crisy Herbed Yuca this past week and it was delicious!

Stacey, you are always welcome to be our guest here at planDisney!  I hope you enjoy a wonderful vacation at Walt Disney World Resort and please feel free to visit me or any of my panelist pals again if you have any other vacation planning questions!

    Bon Appétit!
    Kristi
