Welcome BACK, Shawn!
It's oh so good to see your name pop back up in our system. Thank you for sending another
Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!
Hmmm. This is a tricky one. At the current time,
Magic Key annual passes are
only available as renewals for those Mouseketeers who purchased into the program last yEAR. I'm personally hoping that passes won't be exclusive to those who are Grandfathered-in forever as my family missed our chance to purchase Keys when they were introduced. The best way to keep up with any changes to the current clauses is to pay attention to your
Disneyland Mobile App; back in the day, if your standard
Theme Park Admission Ticket was eligible to upgrade to an annual pass, you'd see that messaging in the app.
If you're looking for ways to add the magic of more Disney days, don't forget to check out the
Special Offers, Discounts, and Deals link on the Disneyland.com website. You might also be able to find discounted admission tickets through other memberships you have, like Costco or AAA. But my favorite place to save a bit is by buying my tickets from Target.com because the RedCard 5% discount applies to the purchase!
I'm so sorry that this didn't completely answer your question, Shawn, but I hope it helped provide a few places to look for alternatives. Be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog where Mickey will hopefully announce when new keys are available for purchase. You can even
follow them on your social media channels so you'll never miss the newest Disney news! And while you have Instagram pulled up, be sure to follow the
official planDisney Panel account! My fingers are crossed for some
Magic Key pixie dust for us both (and soon!) Shawn. And if you have any more
Disneyland Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
