Hi Annie! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
More access to the magic is always a good thing, and the current
SoCal Special Ticket Offer is a fantastic way for Guests to visit Disneyland Resort more often on select days. Guests must live in an eligible ZIP Code and have a valid government-issued ID proving their residence. If you qualify and would like to upgrade your unused standard 1-Day admission ticket, I can help you out with that.
You have two options. The first is to call the
Tickets phone line. Many times these upgrades can be done over the phone with a helpful Cast Member. You'll apply the value of your ticket purchase toward the upgrade, paying the difference. Have your method of payment handy before you call. Prices and terms are subject to change. Your other option is to upgrade in person at the main ticket booths at the entrance of the parks. The process to upgrade will be the same.
Upon making the upgrade, your existing theme park reservation will be canceled and will need to be remade. I would check the
theme park reservation availability calendar before making the upgrade. If your desired day and park are still available, you can probably safely cancel and rebook an available reservation. However, if it is already full, surrendering your theme park reservation might mean you're not able to rebook. Keep that in mind especially if you plan on completing the upgrade in person. I'd hate for you to be there and not be able to enter the parks!
With more access to the magic, you'll want to know what exciting things you can explore on your upcoming visits. The
Disney Parks Blog is the official news source for the parks. They have all the information on new experiences and returning favorites, including
Lunar New Year and
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.
Have a magical day!
Elizabeth
