How do I upgrade my Silver Disney Pass to Gold?

Hey Kurt! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always love the chance to chat with fellow Floridians. I'm happy to help you get the most from your Annual Pass!

One benefit of being a Florida resident (besides sharing pictures of palm trees with our friends up North all winter) is all the options we have for Florida Resident tickets and passes. Your current Silver Pass is a great choice for someone looking for a more affordable pass, but upgrading to Gold gives you even more flexibility with fewer blockout dates. And going Gold is really easy.

If you're within the renewal period for your Silver Pass (60 days before or 30 days after it expires), you just indicate the Pass you want to purchase when you renew for another year. You can renew online, in person at a Guest Relations window at one of the Theme Parks or Disney Springs, or by phone. If your Silver Pass isn't expiring within that 60-day window, you'll need to visit Guest Relations to upgrade. You'll pay the difference between the Silver Pass you have now and the Gold Pass, and your expiration date will stay the same.

Also, if you're on the Monthly Payment Plan program, you'll need to complete your upgrade in person at Guest Relations.

Kurt, 2019 promises lots of fun to come at the Walt Disney World Resort. I hope you have a wonderful year of Disney days with your Florida Resident Annual Pass. If you have any more questions, please feel free to stop by and ask us.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
