Ben, a quick and easy way to check availability is to log into
My Disney Experience on the official Walt Disney World website. Once you’re in your plans, look for your hotel reservation and see if the “Modify Reservation” option appears. If it’s there, you may be able to switch to a different room category right from your account, depending on availability. Christmas week is one of the most popular times of the year, so rooms can be snug as a bug in a Mickey rug, but it never hurts to check.
And if the option doesn’t show up online, don’t worry. You can always
call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and chat with a Cast Member. They can look at your exact dates and see if there’s a little wiggle room for an upgrade. Just keep in mind that upgrades depend on availability and may change the total cost of your stay.
