Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! I like using
Disney Genie+ Service because it allows my family to plan our day in advance. We know what attraction or ride we’re doing and when.
If you’re planning to upgrade your reservation by adding Disney Genie+ Service for the entirety of your stay, you’ll want to
follow these steps! If you want to add the Service via the
My Disney Experience mobile app, you’ll want to do so ahead of your vacation. On the day of your visit, you’ll only be able to add the Service by calling the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 939-5277. Your Disney Park Pass reservations should stay within your app, but you’ll want to confirm after you purchase the Service. If for some reason they aren’t there, you’ll simply want to re-add them using the
reservation system.
Once Disney Genie+ is added, at 7:00 a.m. on the days you have the Service, you’ll be able to make your first Lightning Lane reservation under the “My Genie Day” section of the app (select the three lines in the lower right corner, then select the box with that title). Keep in mind that after your first
Lightning Lane selection, you’re able to book your next attraction two hours after the Theme Park opens and on a rolling basis thereafter! If you’re thinking about
Individual Lightning Lanes, you’re only able to book two of those attractions per day, per person.
