Hey Howdy Hey Friend!
Welcome to planDisney! It's almost time to blast off on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I'm sure you're excited to have a rootin' tootin' good time! Upgrading to one of the
dining plans is a great way to add both convenience and flexibility to your vacation. I love the fact that many of my meals can be pre-paid, and there are options to suit various vacation styles.
If you've
booked a vacation package including a hotel reservation and theme park tickets, you should be able to make this change online. Once you have logged into your My Disney Experience account either through the website or the
mobile app, you should be able to find your reservation under "
My Plans." There you'll see an option to modify your plans and you can click through the screens to add a dining plan. If you run into any issues during this process, you can always
call a Cast Member at Disney Resort Hotel Reservations for assistance - they're happy to help!
Before starting to upgrade, it's important to take a look at the dining plan options available. Currently, Walt Disney World Resort does not offer an all-day dining plan, but instead has two different options depending on your preferences. The
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is best for guests who like to be on the go. With this plan, you'll enjoy two Quick-Service meals and one snack or non-alcoholic beverage per night of your stay as well as a resort refillable mug. If you'd rather take time during your vacation to enjoy some of the Table-Service restaurants, you'll want to check out the
Disney Dining Plan. This gives you one Table-Service meal, one Quick-Service meal, and one snack or non-alcoholic beverage per night of your stay as well as the same resort refillable mug. My family really enjoys
character dining on our visits and I love the many of those choices are available by redeeming one Table-Service meal on the Disney Dining Plan!
If you haven't already, now is the perfect time to
make advanced dining reservations for any Table-Service restaurants you are planning to visit. With so many great restaurants in the parks and at the resorts, choosing where to eat may be the toughest decision you make! I always recommend checking back for dining reservations if you don't see availability for a must-do restaurant right now. Availability is updated constantly as plans change for guests and, while it's not always the case, I've been fortunate several times to grab some great reservations the week of my trip! You can also check the
Mobile Dine Walk-up availability in your My Disney Experience app when you're in the parks.
Remember, you have a friend in us here at planDisney and we're happy to go to infinity and beyond to help you with any other vacation planning questions you have in the future!
So long partner!
