Hi there, Julie!
From one Sunshine State resident to another, welcome to planDisney. I can definitely relate to wanting to upgrade to another
Walt Disney World annual pass midyear. In fact, the Disney Sorcerer Pass is the perfect one for my family of four because the number of blockout dates are few and far between and we can hold just as many reservations as the top-tier annual pass. Let’s get into how to make your wish come true.
I have good news for you, Julie: In order to downgrade your annual pass, you have to wait until your renewal window (60 days before to 30 days after the pass’s expiration date); however, it is more than possible to upgrade outside of this window. Woohoo!
If you’d like to upgrade your annual pass, you can do so by talking to a friendly Cast Member via the
V.I.PASSHOLDER Support hotline or in-person at a ticketing window or Guest Relations at the theme parks. You can also upgrade on your own using the
My Disney Experience App. Log in, open your Tickets and Passes, select your annual pass, and choose the “Upgrade Pass” option. This will take you to the Walt Disney World website where you can pay the difference upfront. If you have monthly payments, after paying the difference, that monthly payment will stay the same.
Julie, I hope that this helps, and that you have a magical year at Walt Disney World—full of Mickey Mouse hugs and DOLE Whip tastings! If you have any additional questions about your adventures,
revisit us here at planDisney. Magic always,
LeAndra
