Hello, can I upgrade a park ticket to a magic key pass?

Hi there, Griselda. Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question. I'm so glad to hear that you are interested in becoming a Magic Key holder and I'm thrilled to help with your question.

Unfortunately, Magic Key sales are currently paused and we're not quite sure when they might reopen. As such, there currently is no option to upgrade your theme park ticket to a Magic Key pass. However, when sales reopen, you will have the option to upgrade your theme park ticket to a Magic Key pass (subject to change). One-day tickets can be upgraded by midnight on the day of your visit and multi-day tickets can be upgraded by midnight on or before the last day of your valid ticket. The easiest way to do this is in the Disneyland app.

While we don't know when sales might reopen, my best advice is to follow @disneylandmagickey on Instagram for the latest news and announcements. This is where news for the past couple of sales was shared. If you happen to be a Southern California resident within valid zip codes of 90000-93599, there's a fantastic ticket offer you can take advantage of to visit the parks three times before June 2, 2024. The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is almost here and there are a lot of great eats and treat offerings lined up for the event (just sayin').

Griselda, I'm sorry this probably isn't the news you were hoping for today, but I hope the information is still helpful. I'll be sending all the pixie dust your way in the hopes that we hear some good news soon.
