Can I upgrade my one day ticket to a 3 day Southern California resident pass? This question was answered in 2022? I would like to verify that previous answer is still true in 2024. Thanks!

Hi Barbara! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

The SoCal Special Ticket Offer is one of the fantastic deals currently available to Guests visiting Disneyland Resort on select days with a government-issued ID proving their residence at an eligible address. I'd take advantage of this offer if I could, so I completely understand being eager to have more access to the magic by applying the value of your existing ticket toward the purchase of the SoCal Offer. I can walk you through how to go about getting an upgrade.

There are two options. The first is to call the Tickets phone line. Many times these upgrades can be done over the phone. A helpful Cast Member can assist you in upgrading your standard unused 1-Day ticket. You'll need to pay the difference, so have your method of payment handy. Prices and terms are subject to change. Also, be aware that your existing theme park reservation will be canceled when you make the upgrade. You'll need to remake them after the upgrade.

Your other option is to speak with a Cast Member at the main ticket booths at the entrance to the parks. Again, your theme park reservation will be canceled when you complete this transaction. This is important to keep in mind if you plan to complete the upgrade in person. I would suggest checking the theme park reservation availability calendar before attempting the upgrade in person. If the day is sold out, you'd be losing your reservation, which risks your not being able to enter the parks on that day. However, if the day and your park of choice are still available, you're probably in good shape to upgrade the day of your visit.

There's so much to explore in the parks this year, including returning favorites like Lunar New Year and Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. Follow the Disney Parks Blog for all the details on what you can expect during your visits!

    Have a magical day.
