From one Magic Key holder to another, welcome! The current policy for
Magic Key upgrades is that you may upgrade (or downgrade) your Magic Key pass to another pass type when you are in the renewal window and choose to renew your pass. This policy has been in place since sales of these passes come and go and are not always available. Previously you could upgrade your pass by paying the difference in full at any time.
If you will be visiting the parks soon, don't forget about
Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure Park. Not only is there great entertainment and bites to try, but there are also some Magic Key extras! First, while supplies last, you can grab a complimentary button under Silly Symphony Swings at certain times each day. You also can get a special Magic Key discount on a Sip & Savor Pass to try all the drinks and bites you've been eyeing. I really enjoyed the Dancing Firecracker drink at the Red Dragon Spice Traders marketplace kiosk. Lunar New Year is going on now through February 15, 2023.
