Can I upgrade my enchanted key pass to a dream key? if so how much more do I have to pay?

    Hi Vanessa!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! How do you love being a Mouseketeer in the coolest club in the kingdom? Did you know that there's an official Instagram account specifically for Disneyland Magic Keyholders? Be sure to like and follow so you'll never miss a memo about upcoming Members-only events, giveaways, photo opps, and so much more!

This is a great question. Typically yes, Disneyland Magic Key Holders can upgrade to any higher tier of Key than the one they currently hold as long as the upgraded key is available for purchase. At the current time, all Magic Key pass sales have been paused. If this is something that you'd still like to do when sales reopen, there are a few caveats:

~ When upgrading Magic Keys, you have to pay the full difference between the pass that you currently hold and the key you plan to upgrade to.

~ This balance is due in full at the time of the upgrade, and it does not pro-rate for months left on your pass.

~ Upgrading does not 'restart' your yEAR nor does it add an additional 12 months of magic to your initial expiration date.

If this is something you'd still like to do, you should be able to *upgrade (*when Magic Key sales resume) in the Disneyland Mobile App, through your My Disneyland Account, in person at the Disneyland Resort Ticket Sales Booths, or by calling the Disneyland Resort Magic Key helpline at (714) 781-7277.

Personally, if this were me, and I had the option to upgrade, I would only do so if I were a month or two into my yEAR-long membership. Otherwise, I would wait to upgrade during my renewal window so I could really enjoy my upgraded benefits (like fewer blockout dates and more Park Pass Reservations) in full.

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Vanessa! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Panel Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
