Can I upgrade my Disneyland ticket to a magic key pass if I'm currently in the park on the last day it's valid?

    Hi Hannah, welcome to planDisney!

Excellent choice on deciding to upgrade to one of the Disneyland Resort Magic Keys! The Magic Key Program is fantastic and has a ton of great benefits and perks. A few of the standouts to me are access to the Magic Key Terrace (a re-imagined lounge just for Magic Key Holders, enough to make you feel like a VIP), and of course the discounts throughout the Disneyland Resort (including participating locations at the Downtown Disney District).

But back to your question. You can absolutely use your current theme park tickets to visit the parks as planned. Then at the end of the day of your last day at the parks, you can upgrade and transfer the cost of your ticket to a Magic Key Pass! You can do this all within the Disneyland Mobile App by opening the Mobile App, going to your ticket, pressing the "+" sign at the top right, and selecting "Buy Passes". Make sure you do this by 11:59 p.m. on the last day of your visit! If you upgrade your tickets prior to using them, it will cancel your current reservations, as reservations are assigned to the tickets.

And you chose a great time to visit the parks! Many experiences are returning to the Disneyland Resort and looking at your arrival date, you'll be able to experience them all! The traditional character meet and greets are returning as soon as April 18, 2022, meaning Mickey and all his Pals will be ready to give out hugs and autographs! And the Main Street Electrical Parade and Disneyland Forever fireworks at Disneyland Park and World of Color at Disney California Adventure Park are all returning on April 22, 2022! Exciting right?

    See ya real soon!
