Can I upgrade 4 day tickets purchased through tickets at work to a magic key pass?

Hi there, Renee! Welcome, and thank you for bringing your question to planDisney. You will be unlocking a full year of magic with a Magic Key pass and I'm thrilled to help with your question.

You can absolutely upgrade a ticket to a Magic Key pass, subject to availability. There are a few things to keep in mind. Wholly unused or partially used non-expired tickets can be used to upgrade to a Magic Key pass, and only one (1) ticket can be used to upgrade to one (1) Magic Key pass. Special event tickets cannot be used to upgrade to a Magic Key pass. You can upgrade your ticket as long as the price of the Magic Key pass is greater than or equal to the amount paid for the ticket. If you are upgrading a partially used ticket, the upgrade must be made before midnight on the last valid day of your ticket, and the Magic Key pass will be backdated to begin the first day the ticket was used. It's also important to know that any reservations made with your original ticket will not transfer over to your new Magic Key. I recommend carefully reading through all of the important information before upgrading. When you are ready, you can upgrade your ticket in the Disneyland app.

I'm so excited for you, Renee. As a fellow Magic Key holder, I love the flexibility of being able to visit the parks when I need a dose of magic. Of course, a theme park reservation is still required for my visit and I always make sure to check the Magic Key Calendar for availability.

This is a great time to be a Magic Key holder at the Disneyland Resort. There are so many exciting things happening, like the Disney100 Celebration which kicked off this past weekend. The parks are decked out in platinum and purple decorations and there are many festive offerings to celebrate. My top recommendation is to make sure to catch one of the new nighttime spectaculars. I recently was able to experience Wondrous Journeys and it's amazing! Don't miss this one.

I hope this was helpful in getting you closer to becoming a Magic Key holder, Renee. If you have other questions, please visit us again and let us know. We're here to help!

    Wishing you all the magic,
    Michelle
