If I upgrade from the Believe Key to the Dream Key a few days before my planned visit, will that cancel my existing upcoming reservation?

    Hey there, Yarenia!

Thank you so much for bringing your question to planDisney, we are all EARs and ready to help.

Let me first begin with a huge congratulations! I am so excited for you! There are so many benefits to becoming a Magic Key holder including an entire year of visits. How many Mickey-shaped treats do you think you will enjoy over the next 365 days?

I think the safest thing to do would be to upgrade on the day of your visit after you’ve entered the parks. My fellow panelist, Tiffanie, has warned me that upgrading before your visit may risk losing your existing theme park reservation and you most definitely don’t want to do that! Plus, to upgrade your Magic Key, you will need to do so in person anyway, so waiting until your visit will work out best.

Yarenia, I hope this helps you plan out your upgrade. Have the most magical year and if there’s anything else we can help with, don’t hesitate to ask!

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel from Arizona. I am a mom of two and a military wife. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip! One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical! Learn More About Shantel
