I love the new MagicBand+, launched on July 27th, 2022! I have two of them that I ordered from
shopDisney. I have charged them, linked them to
My Disney Experience Account, updated the software, and paired one of them via Bluetooth to my mobile phone.
If there was an error when your wife's MagicBand+ was updating the software, you could do a few things to resolve this issue.
1. Make sure the MagicBand+ is all charged up by using the included USB charger
2. Ensure that you have your My Disney Experience App on the most recent update
3. Power your MagicBand+ off and then power it back on by holding the button on the back for about 6 seconds (the MagicBand+ will vibrate twice with the display turning red and power off). Then hold the button on the back for 1 second to power it back on (the MagicBand+ should display green lights when it is back on)
4. Check to see if this has solved the issue. If not, you can factory reset the MagicBand+ by pressing and holding the button on the back for 15 seconds. You will feel a single vibration, then two vibrations, and then another single vibration with the MagicBand+ lighting green when the factory reset is complete. Remember that you may need to re-link your MagicBand+ to your My Disney Experience Account and pair it to your phone after using the factory reset.
