Greetings, Purvie, and welcome to planDisney! The
holiday season is in full swing at the Disneyland Resort. Between the jolly entertainment, themed food options, and festive décor, there's a lot to do and see.
Seasonal offerings can change from year to year. With that in mind, there haven't been any announcements about whether or not Holiday Tea with Santa and Mrs. Claus will return to Hearthstone Lounge. Given the timing, I'm assuming the chances of it happening in 2025 are slim. In 2024, the dates of this experience spanned December 3 through December 24, and reservations opened up about a month in advance. There's always a chance, so keep an eye on the
Disneyland account on Instagram as well as the
Disney Parks Blog.
I realize this news may come as a Bibbidi Bobbidi Bummer, but I have some ideas to help sprinkle a little pixie dust on your plans.
- There are plenty of opportunities to meet Santa Claus as he makes his way around the Disneyland Resort through Christmas Eve. You can find him in the parks at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and Fantasyland Theatre. He also does a daily storytime at each Resort hotel.
- Join the Disneyland Resort Home for the Holidays Guided Tour. This two-hour walking tour will warm your heart with stories of beloved holiday traditions at the park, Lightning Lane access to Haunted Mansion Holiday, special viewing for A Christmas Fantasy Parade, and more.
- The World of Color Dessert Party has treats that may be reminiscent of the goodies at the tea party. Imagine being seated at a table with a great view of the show and being served a box of tasty snacks and sweets. While not specifically a holiday event, it's definitely a unique experience.
I always feel like the holiday magic is at its height once the sun goes down, and the twinkling lights illuminate the park. The colorful exterior of "it's a small world" and the
shimmering castle are two of my favorite sights. Try to catch the second performance of
A Christmas Fantasy Parade, since it has a whole different vibe at night. The "snowfall" in certain areas of the park is the perfect way to wrap up a fun day.
The Downtown Disney District is festive, too. There's
"snowfall" at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage in the evenings through January 7, 2026. You'll find holiday décor, seasonal food options, and more fun. I can't think of a better place to do holiday shopping.
Purvie, I hope these ideas have gotten you in the holiday spirit and inspired some new plans. If you have any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
