Greetings from planDisney, Shauna and as a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member let me offer you a hearty, "welcome home!"
Shauna, I'm glad you stopped by with this important question. As we continue to navigate the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, the sale of new
annual passes is still on pause. Unfortunately we haven't yet received word when or if this will resume. Shauna, my family and I previously had the Gold Pass option offered through
Disney Vacation Club, but let our pass lapse, so I'm anxiously awaiting this announcement alongside so many other Members. If your Gold Pass is not currently active, I encourage you to keep a close watch on the
Disney Parks Blog as Tinker Bell tends to sprinkle those pixie-dusted announcements there first.
Now, Shauna, it sounds like your Gold Pass may be active and you're wishing to renew. If this is the case, I encourage you to
call Disney Vacation Club Member services and speak to a Cast Member. While this is my recommendation, please note that with the reopening of the Disneyland Resort, call volumes at present are a bit high, so be prepared to hold. When I last called Member Services I made sure I wasn't in a hurry and used the speaker phone option to listen to the Disney themed music while I cooked dinner. Knowing this in advance tends to make the waiting a bit easier.
Shauna, I'll be wishing on a star that you're able to renew your Gold Pass and visit your favorite park soon! Whenever you're next at the Most Magical Place on Earth, please remember that a
Disney Park Pass reservation is required to enter the parks, whether you have a standard ticket or an annual pass.
Best of luck, Shauna and please come on back to planDisney with any additional questions!
Lauren
