Ahoy there, Marlin! Welcome aboard planDisney!
Ah, sailing out of
New York! There's just something extra magical about sailing away from the Port of Manhattan and passing the Statue of Liberty on your way to points unknown! Well, ok, so your points are probably known -
either Bermuda or
up the coast to New England or Canada - but you get my drift!
My wife and I sailed out of New York on our Canadian Coast cruise on the
Disney Magic up the St. Lawrence River to Quebec City, Quebec a few years back and it quickly became one of our favorite itineraries we've ever sailed. It was memorable for so many reasons, but chiefly among those was how we rolled the dice and flew in the morning of the cruise - something I don't usually recommend, but that year, vacation days were few and far between! It sounds like you're likely in Eastern Pennsylvania if you're keen on sailing from New York, so hopefully, you'd be a quick train ride or road trip up the highway to catch your ship!
But back to your question!
When it comes to staying up-to-date with all the latest Disney Cruise Line itinerary releases, I suggest keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, Disney Cruise Line News, and the Disney Cruise Line websites! There's nothing like getting the word straight from Captain Minnie herself - or her officers - about the latest announcements. I also would bookmark the
find a cruise tool with the filter for "Departing From" set to New York!
Now, as you probably know, itineraries are usually announced in batches roughly seasonally to keep somewhere in the vicinity of 15 months worth of bookable itineraries on the Disney Cruise Line website. This is always subject to change, especially since the last batch of itineraries was a few months later than "usual." One other way to stay informed is to
head over to the "Planning Tools" section of the website and sign up for the e-brochure - being sure to check the box to allow Disney Parks to send you updates about products and services! Then you should be able to be among the first to know whenever itineraries are announced!
I hope that helps you set a course for your next adventure out of NYC, Marlin! Thanks again for sailing my way with your question, and if any others surface between now and the next itinerary release, please drop me another line at planDisney!
Happy planning, and we'll SEA ya real soon!
