Welcome to planDisney, Jacqueline! Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question for us. We’re so glad you’re here!
How delightful that your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the river bend. Now that the
Disneyland Resort theme parks have finally reopened after a long, unexpected closure, I bet you’re more than ready and excited to
return to a land of Magic, Jacqueline!
My family and I enjoy the flexibility of visiting both parks on the same day with Park Hopper tickets, and it literally is just a skip and a hop across The Esplanade. I can see why you’d want to upgrade to a Park Hopper ticket. While upgrading your existing ticket to a Park Hopper isn’t something you can do on your own, it can definitely be done with some wand-waving magic by a Cast Member. I recommend that you
contact Disneyland Resort Ticket Services at (714) 781-4636 and a friendly Cast Member will gladly assist you. In pre-Covid days, Guests could easily head to any Main Entrance ticket booth when they arrive to make changes or upgrade their tickets. Unfortunately, since this is not an option during this initial phased reopening period, it’ll be best to speak directly with a Cast Member who can better assist you. Due to the pandemic’s impact on park operations, all Guests need both a valid park admission and an
advanced park reservation for each day of their visit. This helps ensure management of park attendance and physical distancing for all Guests and Cast Members’ health and safety. Therefore, Jacqueline, once you’re able to upgrade to Park Hopper tickets, don’t forget to secure your park reservation on the day you desire.
Before your visit, I recommend downloading the latest version of
Disneyland mobile app. It’s a handy-dandy tool to help you check attraction wait times, view restaurant menus, make food and beverage mobile orders and use it as a form of contactless payment. Also, if you’re interested, the very popular and immersive
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will have a virtual queue that is accessible via the Disneyland mobile app.
