Has there been any update on the Space 220 opening date since the August 25th announcement? Has there been any announcement whether it will accept the Disney Dining plan, and whether it will take one or two table-service credits if it does?

    Hi John!

It sounds like you are just as excited about all of the new additions to Epcot as I am! Epcot has always been my favorite Walt Disney World Resort theme park, so I'm thrilled to see all of the magic that the Disney Imagineers are working on as it evolves over the next few years. I was able to visit Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience a few weeks ago and I was blown away by the magic that Guests will be able to experience during future visits to Epcot!

Space 220 is an incredible new restaurant headed to Epcot's Mission: SPACE pavilion that will allow Guests to dine 220 miles above the Earth while enjoying beautiful panoramic views of our home planet below. We haven't gotten any new information about Space 220 since the announcements that were made at D23 Expo 2019 in late August, but we do know that Space 220 will open in Winter 2019. I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about specific opening dates for Space 220, as well as information about when reservations will be available and how you can use the Disney dining plans to enjoy this restaurant.

Let us know if you have additional questions about planning your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
