Hi, do you have any update on when Space 220 will open? Thanking you in advance for your answer. Kathy

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kathleen!

I cannot wait to dine 220 feet above the Earth and enjoy the gorgeous views of outer space when Space 220 opens! The concept art is spectacular, and I just love the idea of checking in at a restaurant in Epcot and then boarding an elevator that takes me straight to space for my meal. Super cool!

Kathleen, what we do know is that Space 220 is scheduled to open in winter 2019. At this time, we don’t have additional information about opening day, when dining reservations might become available, or the restaurant’s menus or participation on the Disney Dining Plan. I’ve been watching the Disney Parks Blog for updates, and I’m sending you some celestial pixie dust that we get news soon!

As you might know, the Space 220 announcement was one of many amazing announcements about the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Cruise Line at the D23 expo this summer. I see you have a visit planned in January 2020, and I recommend checking out The Epcot Experience in the Odyssey Events Pavilion (located between Test Track and the Mexico Pavilion). Walt Disney Imagineering has created an incredible, immersive opportunity for Guests to see all the incredible experiences and attractions coming to Epcot over the next several years. There are neat photo opportunities, dazzling effects, and – my very favorite – fascinating models that help you envision the future of Disney’s future-focused theme park.

Have so much fun counting down the days to your visit, and please stop by again if you think of any further questions!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
