Hello, Adam! Welcome to planDisney!
My family and I have always had a soft spot for the
Walt Disney World Resort, especially remembering our vacations staying at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside (formerly Disney's Dixie Landings Resort) and
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. When my wife and I introduced our children to the magic of Disney World, we, too, chose the Caribbean Beach Resort for our stay. The Fuentes del Morro Pool holds a special place in my heart, from my childhood memories to the ones we created on my children’s first visit.
While I'm sure you are looking forward to enjoying the Fuentes Del Morro Pool, I must inform you that it has been closed for refurbishment since January 2024, and the estimated reopening date is still to be determined. I spoke to a Cast Member on your behalf, and while I couldn’t get any more specifics, I assume the refurbishment is being expedited to accommodate the upcoming spring break crowds. If, by chance, the estimated reopening of “late March 2024” doesn’t occur, five other pools are available for you and your family to enjoy.
If you’re seeking more excitement than the leisure pools offer, I suggest considering one of
Disney’s two water parks,
Typhoon Lagoon or
Blizzard Beach. These parks have been a staple of our vacations, providing exciting new experiences, dining options, and countless hours of fun in the sun! My favorite is Blizzard Beach because of Summit Plummet (or the Piña CoLAVA at the Polar Pub), but my wife enjoys Humunga Kowabunga at Typhoon Lagoon.
