Hey Melissa,
Bienvenue to planDisney! We are so happy that you have joined us today to ask a planning question! I’m thrilled to be chatting with you about
Disney’s Port Orleans-French Quarter since it is arguably one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels. I love all the delicate nods to Princess Tiana in the rooms and, of course, being able to head down to the
Scat Cat Club Café for piping hot beignets. Also, be sure to try the Jambalaya from
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory during your stay. It is a pretty significant portion for the price, and it was one of our favorite lunches during our last visit.
I checked with a Cast Member, and unfortunately, Painting on De’Bayou has not yet returned to French Quarter as of today. Although a return date has not been released, that does not mean that it won’t be available when you visit in three-ish weeks. Walt Disney World Resort has been re-opening and bringing back some of our favorite activities and experiences, so you never know what will be available during your stay. When you check in to Port Orleans-French Quarter, ask a Cast Member for a schedule of events and activities during your visit and if Painting on De’Bayou is one of them. In the past, it was offered on Wednesday afternoons at 2 pm, so be prepared to add it to your itinerary if it has returned by the time you arrive.
I wish I could give you better news, Melissa. Please come back and see us if you have any additional questions.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
