    Since the update to lightning lane multi pass isn’t starting until 7/24, which is the first day of our vacation are we being charged the same as other resort guests who are able to use full features of lightning lane seven days in advance?

    Hey Diana! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you're here with your first questions about the new Lightning Lane passes. I'm really excited about all the fantastic benefits this new system will bring to us planners. It's going to make a big difference for families like mine with two little kids who aren't big fans of waiting in long lines.

    I know you are super excited to enjoy the new perks as well. The new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass can be purchased and used starting July 24, 2024. Before that date, Guests can continue using Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes as long as they're available.

    Just to be extra clear, this means that the new Lightning Lane passes can only be purchased starting on July 24, 2024. You will be among the first eligible to use it if you arrive and check in at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel on that day. Isn't that amazing?

    As you probably already know, being the pro-planner you are, Guests of Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels can purchase passes up to 7 days in advance of their stay—and other Guests can purchase passes up to 3 days in advance of their park visit starting at 7:00 AM Eastern Time on their first day of eligibility.

    So, get your My Disney Experience app all set, with your reservations, tickets, and hotel bookings ready to go. Before you even step foot in the park, you can purchase your passes and choose up to 3 awesome experiences with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Bonus tip: with a Multi Pass, you'll get to enjoy some photo perks with digital downloads of select attraction photos and videos from your day, captured with the Disney PhotoPass Service.
