Hi there, Ryan, and welcome to planDisney!
I love that you’ve heard about
Lightning Lane Passes, which will be the new way to access Lightning Lanes at Walt Disney World Resort. Not only will you be able to skip attraction standby queues with it, but you can plan your Disney theme park days ahead of time. Woohoo! Let’s get into the details.
With the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass, like the current system, you will only be able to select a ride once per day as a Lightning Lane experience. However, you can ride the attraction via its standby queue as many times as you’d like (unless the ride also has a temporary Virtual Queue like
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure).
Keep in mind that the options for the Lightning Lane Single Pass, like
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and
TRON Lightcycle / Run, can also be booked only once via the pass. However, you can ride them again if you score a complimentary Virtual Queue. You can get a Virtual Queue boarding group by logging in to the
My Disney Experience App on the morning of your theme park visit. I like to confirm my riding party and be ready to go a few minutes before 7 a.m. EST to maximize my chances of getting a boarding group. If you’d rather wait, you can also try for one at 1 p.m. while inside of the theme park (and at 6 p.m. from anywhere if you’re a Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guest on an
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours night).
Ryan, I hope that this helps. If you have any other questions about your upcoming Disney vacation, give us a holler here at planDisney.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
