Hello, Donna!
Welcome to planDisney with a very important question. I am glad to hear that you are updating your list of
Family & Friends in preparation for your next trip. It’s really important to keep your list updated because when the time comes to make Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lane selections, you do not want to have to sift through your list to find the members of your travel party.
I recommend updating your list in My Disney Experience on a computer or laptop because it is easier to see everyone on your list and make changes. Sign in to My Disney Experience and click on the
My Family and Friends list. Scroll down to a Guest that you would like to remove from your list and click
Update across from their name. To remove someone, click
Remove from This List. Confirm that you want to remove them by clicking on
Yes, Remove and they will disappear from your list. You will no longer be sharing plans or
PhotoPass Photos with them. If they currently have existing plans that are being shared with you, even if you are not going with them, you may not be able to remove them from your list until their trip is over.
If you have children who are no longer minors, you can update their ages or dates of birth on your list. If anyone is old enough to manage their own My Disney Experience account and you want to update their information with their current account, do not delete their current account or create another. Instead, send them an invitation to connect by selecting
+Add a Guest at the bottom of your page. Select “
I’ll enter their name and age”. Then enter their name, age, date of birth, and the email address associated with their new account. Select the option to
Invite this Guest to connect and click
Done. When they receive the email invitation to connect, they will need to choose to link their current account with the old information from your account and this will merge the accounts. You may ask yourself, why is this important? If they have any active
MagicBands that were linked to the account you had created and managed for them, they can still use them. If you mistakenly delete someone from your list by mistake, Hakuna Matata! You can always send them another invitation to reconnect with you.
I hope this helps with the spring cleaning of your list. If you have any more questions for us, please come back and visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
