Ahoy, Denise!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Keeping your payment details shipshape is a smart move, especially when the next great adventure could pop up at any moment and you don’t want a hiccup slowing things down.
In the past, Disney Cruise Line didn’t hang on to your payment information after you booked a cruise or made a payment in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. That’s recently changed, and now you can save your payment details in your MyDisney Wallet, which is a welcome upgrade. You can add a new payment method while booking a new sailing, but it won’t actually be saved until the transaction is completed. Another easy option is opening the Navigator app, selecting your reservation, and
making a payment there, which allows you to update your wallet behind the scenes like a well-timed cue change in a stage show.
If you booked your cruise with a travel agent, things work a little differently. In that case, you’ll usually need to handle payments directly through your agent, as you may not be able to make payments or adjust your wallet from the app yourself.
Here’s a handy workaround I just tried out myself. You can head to the My Disney Experience app or the Walt Disney World website,
update your payment information in your profile, and that card will flow right into your MyDisney Wallet. I tested this by going through the motions of booking a cruise just to confirm it worked, and sure enough, the new payment method showed up at checkout. Resisting the urge to actually book was the hardest part. It felt a bit like standing in front of a launchpad and choosing not to press the big red button.
I hope this helps make the process easier and
keeps everything ready for smooth sailing! Having your payment details squared away now means fewer distractions later when it’s time to focus on the fun.
Sea ya real soon with a little extra warmth, wonder, and Disney magic,
Dustin
