Aloha Mary Elaine!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We’re so glad you found us!
Being a
Disney Vacation Club Member has its
perks and
benefits but what I enjoy most is the wide variety of resorts with unique theme-ing. At
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, no detail was spared and the Imagineers worked closely with cultural experts and local artisans to get everything right. You can definitely feel the spirit of the island when you're there. And as always, when you stay in a
Disney Vacation Club Villa, you’ll enjoy the comforts of home. At Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, you’ll enjoy those comforts in paradise.
At this time we are still waiting to hear more information on when the resort will open to guests. It’s ironic that you brought your question to us here today. I have a December use year so today I cancelled my October trip to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. With all the uncertainty and still no date for reopening, it was best for my family to bank our points and reschedule. I know Disney is working closely with Hawai’i officials and when it’s safe for the community, Cast Members, and guests, they will welcome all of us with open arms.
If you have a reservation booked with Disney Vacation Club points during the closure, there is no need to cancel your reservation or contact Member Services. Your points will automatically be returned to the current use year and will not go into holding. Take a look at the
temporary cancellation policy to make sure you have the necessary information to decide on your trip. There may be special factors to consider or you may have expiring points that need to be addressed. If you have any questions that aren’t answered in the temporary cancellation policy,
Member Services is always happy to help.
Well Mary Elaine, I know this wasn’t the answer you were hoping for but I hope that you are able to make your trip or reschedule once the resort is open.
Remember, always believe in the Magic!
