Oh boy, Monika!
I’m so glad you brought this question to planDisney! I feel thrilled to answer it because talking about things to do with our littlest Mouseketeers at The Happiest Place On Earth is simply my favorite subject!
I see that you’re planning to visit later this month. My oh my, what a wonderful time to visit, Monika! Not only will plenty of Southern California sunshine be headed your way, but the Disney 100 Celebration will be in full swing! I can’t decide which part of it is more exciting:
the culinary cabaret that's only available this year or the resort’s newest attraction: Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway! My bouncy toddler Tigger cannot get enough of this ride. I’m sure that both of your little Mousketeers will love this attraction too! This is one that they can ride together and create a core memory forever and ever!
Now, if anyone in your cast of characters has trouble waiting in line, the special service called the
Disability Access Service (DAS) can help. It's completely free and allows guests to schedule return times for attractions instead of waiting in line.
Since you're in the ideal pre-registration timeframe (2 to 30 days before your trip), it's a great opportunity to
request a live video chat with a Cast Member. Simply use a device with a working camera and microphone. In the 10-minute chat, the Cast Member will take a photo of you and your little one, ask some questions, and add extra pixie dust to ensure your family has a magical visit.
If it's easier for you, you can also call Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email
disability.services@disneyland.com.
Renting a wheelchair or
ECV (Electric Convenience Vehicle) scooter can be a great option if needed. You can easily rent one right outside the theme parks. The rental location is situated just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. Remember, they can't be reserved in advance, so arriving early is best. I would even suggest arriving about 30 minutes before the parks open at 8:00 AM, especially on busy days with long lines.
When it comes to the rest of your visit, I love spending time with my little one in Fantasyland. We enjoy "it's a small world" and riding the King Arthur Carrousel multiple times! The Storybook Land Canal Boats are a hidden gem, and if you head to Critter Country, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a great ride with short wait times. It leads to Pooh Corner, my favorite spot for delicious treats, as it's usually less crowded than other confection shops. But let's keep that between us, alright?!
Speaking of secrets, did you know that both parks have very comfy, air-conditioned
Baby Care Centers? They have everything you need for your baby or toddler. And here's a tip from my husband: the changing stations here are super cozy for diaper changes. Dads love it too!
Well, I've reached the word limit for this answer, Monika. But keep those questions coming! I’m as committed as you are to making your vacation as magical as can be, so feel free to come back and
message me directly for a quicker response now that you’ve got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Danielle
