We have any upcoming trip to WDW in early August and we are trying to assess how to get from AK to Hollywood Studios to optimize our chances of a boarding pass (ROR). Would a Lyft be faster than driving or waiting for the bus?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer! I'm so excited that you have plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort next week and that you're brave enough to take on Kylo Ren and the First Order on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I was lucky enough to experience this brand new attraction just a few days after it opened and I promise it lives up to the hype! Getting a boarding pass is essential if you want to ride, so let's chat about the best way to get there in the morning so you can set yourself up for success.

If you're staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you have a few options for getting to Disney's Hollywood Studios for the day. The My Disney Experience app has a bus schedule for your Resort Hotel under the "Resort Hotel" heading of the menu, and I recommend that you check that frequently in the morning when you're getting ready. That way, you'll get a good idea of how transportation is running that morning and when you can expect the next bus to arrive. If you time it right, you can leave your room and arrive at the bus stop just a few minutes before a bus pulls up so you don't have to wait very long at all! If you want to get ready at your own pace and take private transportation to the Theme Park, then you are welcome to use your favorite rideshare service to get there. It will take you the exact same amount of time to get to Disney's Hollywood Studios regardless of whether you take the bus or a car, about five to 10 minutes, so the choice is yours! If the choice were mine to make, I would take that walk to the bus stop in the morning and check the arrival time for the next bus as well as the wait time for a rideshare vehicle and I'd pick the one with the shortest wait.

    Have a magical day, Jennifer!
