Hi, there!
Congratulations on your new addition, Joy. There's nothing better than a new baby in the house! I'm happy to answer any questions you have about traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with that precious little one in tow.
As a mom of three, I love that I don't have to worry at all about
transportation during our Disney vacations. It's just one of the many
benefits of staying at a Disney Resort hotel! When you board a Disney bus, your stroller will need to be folded and carried. Additionally, your infant car seat will need to be carried. For safety reasons, your little guy may not be secured in the infant car seat while on the bus. In my experience, my babies have been much happier sitting on my lap for the ride anyway! Once you've reached your destination, you can reassemble your travel system at the bus stop and be on your way to a pixie-dusted adventure.
I recommend measuring your stroller prior to your visit.
Beginning May 1, strollers must be 31" wide and 52" long, or smaller.
Be sure to pack a well-stocked diaper bag each morning before leaving for the theme parks. I usually pack diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, extra clothes, a changing pad, sunscreen, and a few Ziploc bags (these come in handy for all sorts of reasons!). If you forget something, though, not to fret! There's a conveniently located
Baby Care Center in each of the four theme parks. The Baby Care Centers feature a quiet changing room, private nursing room, kitchen, and on-site shop with baby-care essentials available for purchase. We once ran out of diapers while we were at Magic Kingdom Park and boy, were we glad we could buy more at the Baby Care Center!
I hope this was helpful, Joy. Please let me know if you have any other questions about your baby's first visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort!
