Hiya Stephanie,
Welcome to planDisney! Some things are worth melting for, especially
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. With new additions of Frozen to the water park, it is truly a fantastic place to enjoy a sunny Orlando day.
While
Ski Patrol Training Camp is traditionally geared towards older Mouseketeers, little ones under the age of 7 can participate as long as they are accompanied by a Guest who is 14 years or older. I spoke to a Cast Member, and since Ski Patrol Training Camp is not restricted by height, your son should be able to enjoy each of the obstacles. If you and he would feel more comfortable, you can also have him wear a life jacket. They are free of charge at multiple locations throughout the water park, including Snowless Joe’s and the racks near the dressing room. Just because the obstacles are open to all heights doesn’t mean your son would like to do them. I looked at a few Guest videos of the challenges, and I’m not sure that your little one would enjoy them as much, mainly if he can’t swim yet (particularly the Fahrenheit Drops, Thin Ice Training Course, and Snow Falls). However, you know your little guy best, so only you would know best. If you don’t think Ski Patrol Training Camp is the right fit, head over to
Tike’s Peak. Your son will have a blast on the miniaturized slides and chutes. He will also love exploring Anna and Elsa’s igloo fortress with little Mouseketeers his size.
I hope this was helpful, Stephanie. Please come back and see us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
