We have an upcoming trip and will be staying in the Art of Animation Cars room. Can you tell me whether the curtains are blackout curtains and if not, what size are the windows?

    Ka-chow, Justin!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for making a pit stop en route to your Walt Disney World adventure. Your stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort will be here before you know it, so let's get rolling!

The windows at Disney Value Resorts are approximately 36 by 60 inches. A family suite features two window panels, one in the main bedroom and one in the living area. The window coverings in your room include a decorative curtain and a thicker, room-darkening curtain. I'm not sure they qualify as "blackout," but based on my experience, they do keep nearly all light out of the room when fully closed.

Whether you have napping children or someone in your crew who likes to sleep in, I think you'll find your suite comfortable. I do recommend placing the "Room Occupied" sign on your exterior door when resting and removing it when out and about so Cast Members know when to stop in for trash and towel removal.

I hope this has been helpful! Thanks again for visiting planDisney. Please don't hesitate to reach out if we can do anything to make future vacations even more memorable. Have a magical day!
