Welcome to planDisney, Sarah!
Your post-Labor Day visit to Walt Disney World Resort is ideal for reasonable crowds and sunny weather. Tickets with the
Park Hopper Option will let you spend the mornings experiencing thrills like
Tron Lightcycle/Run at Magic Kingdom Park (opening this spring) and cooler evenings enjoying a stroll around World Showcase during the
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. You're essentially nailing this Disney vacation-planning thing!
Valid admission and a
theme park reservation are required to enter a theme park, Sarah, but they are not required to make a dining reservation. As long as there's availability, you should have no trouble making dining reservations at restaurants in any theme park. In fact, I often let dining availability dictate my park days.
Le Cellier is one of my husband's favorite restaurants so I won't make my theme park reservation until I've locked in which day we'll be enjoying their
Signature Poutine.
When making a dining reservation for a park you'll be 'hopping' to, just make sure you allow plenty of transit time. Park hopping hours begin at 2:00 p.m., then you have to walk from the park entrance to the restaurant. As a general rule, I would not schedule a dining reservation at your second park of the day before 3:00 p.m.
Advance reservations for dining can be made
online 60 days in advance. Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can book for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days) 60 days before check-in. All other Guests can book as each date reaches the 60-day mark. A new batch of reservations typically goes live around
5:45 a.m. EST.
Don't be a stranger, Sarah. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
