We have an upcoming trip with 14 people. We're wondering how mobile ordering and genie plus work? Does every person have to have it on their own phone? Is it best for one person to be in charge or have min groups?

From one Oregonian to another, greetings and welcome to planDisney, Lissette. We're so glad you stopped by with this question. I love visiting the Disneyland Resort with a big group of people - it's so much fun! I'm excited about your upcoming trip - it will be here before you know it.

When it comes to large parties, Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering and Disney Genie+ Service work a little differently from one another so let's break it down. With the mobile order feature, anyone in your party can use the Disneyland app to make an order for everyone to be placed on one transaction for pick up. This feature does not require tickets to be linked within the app. I recommend having one or two people take the lead when it comes to mobile ordering.

Now let's talk about Disney Genie+ Service. Each person in your party will need to purchase this service in order to use it during the day. Disney Genie+ can be purchased once you've been scanned in and have entered the theme park. You can open the Disneyland app and find the option to purchase for the day towards the top of the home screen.

I highly recommend linking everyone's tickets in the Disneyland app when using Disney Genie+. Not only will you be able to make all of the initial purchases at once, but you will also be able to make Lightning Lane selections for everyone to ensure you all obtain the same arrival window. With a group of 14, you may need to split the group and have two people link each separate group in their app and manage the Lightning Lane selections for the day. This is probably the easiest way to do this. To make it extra fun for these two, you can stop by City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. and request a complimentary "I'm Celebrating:" button and fill in the blank with something to the effect of "Genie summoner."

To link tickets, open the Disneyland app and tap on the "☰" icon in the lower right of the screen to open the menu. Next, tap on the "Tickets and Passes" tile followed by the "+" in the top right and then "Link Tickets & Passes." I find the quickest and easiest way to link is by using the "Camera" feature and scanning each of the tickets' barcodes into the app. Once you've done this, everyone linked in one app will appear in a list when making Lightning Lane selections throughout the day. It's as easy as rubbing the Genie's lamp.

Don't forget that with Disney Genie+ Service, you will also get unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the day. So make sure to take some time for a few snaps in between attractions and delicious eats to remember your magical visit. A quick tip: ask your Disney PhotoPass Photographer for a Magic Shot - there are plenty of fantastic options around the resort right now.

Lissette, I hope this is helpful as you're planning for your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. Come back to visit us with any other questions that might pop up. Until then, I wish you happy planning!
