    We have an upcoming trip in Nov. We have magic bands from a previous trip. Are we able to upload our current trip info onto the bands we already have? Also, I thought they were no longer using magic bands. .. do we need them??

    I am excited that you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation! I love using a MagicBand as my key to unlock the magic on my Walt Disney World vacations. I have over 50 MagicBands, so you can see that I love them!

    You can use MagicBands from a previous Walt Disney World vacation for your next Walt Disney World vacation as long as they are active in your My Disney Experience Account. You will need to link your Advanced Dining Reservations, your Walt Disney World Tickets, and your Walt Disney World Resort reservation to your My Disney Experience Account. You do not have to load anything to your MagicBands because everything is managed through your My Disney Experience Account. According to my experience, the battery inside the MagicBand is designed to last for up to two years or more, so you can use your MagicBand for more than one Walt Disney World vacation. I recommend bringing your MagicBand on your Walt Disney World vacation and seeing if it works for park entry. If your MagicBand battery is depleted, you can purchase a new MagicBand at many Walt Disney World stores in the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs on your Walt Disney World vacation. Also, you may want to purchase the new MagicBand+, which has some exciting new features, including customizable color-changing lights, haptic vibrations that bring experiences to life, and gesture recognition.
