Hi there! We have an upcoming trip in January (for Marathon week), and I'm considering the Park Hopper option for our 6 park days. I know things have changed - could you help me decide the best way to use park hopping? Thank you!

Hi there, Meghan. A warm welcome to planDisney today. I personally LOVE the Park Hopper Option at Walt Disney World, so I was delighted to see your question. We all want to make the most of our time at Walt Disney World, and the Park Hopper option provides a flexible way to help.

As you'll be arriving in early January, please know that you will still hold a Park Pass Reservation in addition to your ticket for each day you plan on visiting the Magic. So let's say on your first day, you would like to visit EPCOT in the morning (that's what I do). You simply make your Park Pass Reservation for EPCOT on that day, and from 2 pm, you can enter any other Walt Disney World Park with the Park Hopper ticket. A morning whizzing around Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, followed by an evening watching Happily Ever After, or whatever your perfect Disney Day looks like. If you choose not to purchase the Park Hopper option, you may visit one Walt Disney World park per day. So with the EPCOT example, you would book your Park Pass Reservation for that day and are welcome to come and go into EPCOT for that whole day.

EPCOT is an ideal first Park choice as you can try to nab a virtual queue from 7 am for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This ride is worth its hype! You could then use Disney complimentary transportation for your onward journey to another park. For example, you could take Disney Skyliner from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios.

There is simply no completing Walt Disney World. There is always more to ride, entertainment to see, and treats to taste, so it's worth considering your Disney priorities. This can guide your itinerary to help you experience everything you want (don't forget to please leave some time for moments of impromptu Disney magic).

As you're planning on visiting for six days, another alternative to help you make the most of your time in the Parks is Disney Genie+. You could purchase a standard ticket (one park per day) and use the Genie+ service to access Lightning Lanes queues for many popular attractions. This may be a good option if you want to spend more time in each park instead of traveling between them.

Meghan, I hope this information helps. The great thing is that there are options to suit every Guest at Walt Disney World. If you need any other information ahead of your adventure, we love to help here at planDisney. Have a magical day, Louise.
