Hi, I have an upcoming trip to Disneyland and I wanted to know if I can exit the park to go change to my hotel room or relax and then come back later in the day?

    Hello Misbah!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing a question our way!

One of the highlights of staying on property at a Disneyland Resort is the close proximity to the theme parks. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is my favorite because it has a dedicated entrance, called the Grand Gate, that Guests may use to enter Disney California Adventure Park. I find the dedicated entrance to be very helpful when I want to take breaks at the hotel throughout my day at Disney California Adventure Park.

And, even if you are not staying on property, I can confirm that you will have in and out privileges. When you first arrive at the turnstiles, you’ll be presented with a paper ticket. If you decide to leave and explore the Downtown Disney District or head back to your hotel for a bit, your paper ticket will be needed in order for you to re-enter. But, as always, theme park admission is subject to attendance availability.

I hope this helps! Come back to planDisney if you have more questions!
