Hi, I have an upcoming trip to Disney World . I was wondering if you need to be in the park to get guardians or Tron virtual queue. And how does the virtual queue work. Thank you

    Hello there, Denise!

Have you chosen your favorite song when riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind? My personal favorite is “September,” but I love that every song has a totally different vibe to rock out to.

Before I get into the exciting virtual queue details, please note that each Guest can only request to enter each virtual queue once a day during regular park hours.

For Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise, there are two daily opportunities that you can request to join the virtual queue (7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Eastern). Guests do not need to be in EPCOT or Magic Kingdom park to join the virtual queue at 7:00 a.m., but they do need to be in EPCOT or Magic Kingdom park, respectively, to join the virtual queue at 1:00 p.m.

A little birdie told me you plan to visit Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Did you know there is an additional opportunity to request to join the virtual queue at 6:00 p.m. Eastern for Guests attending the party? You can only request to enter the virtual queue once during the event. Here’s some other good news: you don’t need to be in Magic Kingdom park to request to join the virtual queue at 6:00 p.m. Eastern. This means that you can potentially ride TRON Lightcycle / Run twice in a day by getting one earlier virtual queue time and one Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party virtual queue time. I hope these tips help you have a spooktacular vacation!

May the magic be with you!
