For our upcoming trip to Disney, we have a friend who lives in Florida who might be able to join us but won’t know till the day we check in. We want to buy the DDP for those of us who are confirmed, but can we add a DDP if she can come at the last minute?

It's great to see you today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melissa!

I think it's a great idea to think about adding the Disney Dining Plan to your upcoming vacation. My family and I really love the ease and convenience of having all of our meals taken care of in advance, and we often find that we save some money versus what we would have paid out of pocket for all the delicious meals and snacks we ate! We're on a mission to try all of the different dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort, and using the Dining Plan when we travel is really helping us branch out and try new things every time.

Any changes that you want to make to your Disney Dining Plan need to be made at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival day, so you'll need to know at least that far in advance if you want to be able to add your friend to your reservation. Everyone who is staying in your Resort Hotel room must be on the same Dining Plan, so I recommend calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations as soon as you can to discuss your specific circumstance and see if you can work out adding someone else to your reservation at the last minute.

    Have a magical day, Melissa!
