    Hello! We have an upcoming trip booked at POR. Have all of the Alligator bayou rooms been refurbished with Princess and the Frog decor? I have seen some pictures with older decor, such as a fish shower curtain. Thanks!

     Oh my goodness, Sara - your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just a few short days away. How very, very exciting!

     You are going to just love your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. The peaceful Sassagoula River, lush landscaping, and Southern hospitality make this unique Resort hotel one of my family's favorites! You'll be pleased to know that all the rooms in Alligator Bayou were renovated with subtle nods to Disney's The Princess and the Frog a few years ago. That said, some buildings in this section of the resort have been recently refurbished within the last few months. The most recent refurbishments include hard wood flooring, new beds, and additional storage space, all while still paying homage to Tiana and her adventures on the bayou. 

     One of the things I love the most about Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is that it's just a short walk or ferryboat ride away to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. If you have the time, make the trip to visit Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. This Quick-Service restaurant serves up freshly-baked beignets that Tiana would surely approve of. YUM!
