Hello Lori, and welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by to discuss your upcoming adventure to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. I'd be delighted to assist with your inquiry about offsite accommodations.
Lori, you can only add a
dining plan to an eligible vacation package booked directly with the Walt Disney World Travel Company at a hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection. Unfortunately, your stay at the Waldorf Astoria does not qualify for one of these vacation packages. If a dining plan is essential to your getaway, consider staying at an onsite resort.
If your plans are set for the Waldorf Astoria, (which is a lovely, luxurious property not too far from the Walt Disney World theme parks), but pre-paying for your meals appeals to you, I recommend purchasing Disney Gift Cards in the amount of your anticipated dining expenses (take a look at menus online to help calculate this total). Remember, you won't be able to use Disney Gift Cards at the Waldorf Astoria, and if you purchase them in Canada, the funds will convert to US Dollars after first use. Read more about this from
my Canadian planDisney pal, Lynne! Here's a quick tip regarding gift cards: store Disney Gift Card numbers in the Notes application on your mobile device. When you're ready to finalize a
Mobile Food & Beverage Order, copy and paste the numbers into the payment screen. It's a great way to expedite checkout and avoid reaching for your card whenever you want to order a snack or quick-service meal.
I hope this has been helpful, Lori! Although you can't add a dining plan to your stay, Waldorf Astoria guests are eligible for
Early Theme Park Entry and complimentary transportation to the Walt Disney World theme parks, so be sure to take advantage of these perks during your stay. Thanks again for writing to us at planDisney, and if there is anything else we can do to make your upcoming vacation even more memorable, please reach out again.
Wishing you a magical day,
Betsy
