Hi! We have an upcoming stay at the Pixar Place Hotel and it looks like we're extending our stay by a day - can we use the pool/slides at the Disneyland Resort while we're guests of the Pixar hotel?

    Hi Ashley,

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. Staying in the magic is the best way to experience all that the Disneyland Resort has to offer. You are going to love staying at Pixar Place where you are immersed in the characters and stories that you know and love!

Beginning March 3rd, the pools at Pixar Place will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, Guests of the hotel are permitted to use the pools at the Disneyland Hotel during the length of their stay, this includes their check-in and check-out date. As long as you can provide proof of reservation that includes the date you are hoping to use the pools, you should have no issues and will be riding down that Monorail slide in no time. You can easily pull up your hotel reservation in the Disneyland app by tapping the three-bar icon in the bottom right-hand corner and selecting "Hotel Reservations".

While at the Disneyland Hotel, you'll get a chance to soak in all the nostalgia of the early days of Walt's Park. Be sure to take a moment to stroll through the lobby. There are so many wonderful photos of Walt planning out the magic. You'll also find one of our favorite photo spots in all of Disneyland here in the lobby - just across from the front desk are chairs shaped like giant tea cups! Another added perk of time spent at the Disneyland Hotel? DOLE WHIP, of course! You can grab this tropical treat at Tangaroa Terrace, along with other quick-service food options infused with the flavors of Polynesia! My personal favorites are the Tempura-battered Green Beans and Tonkotsu Ramen.

Don't forget that as a Guest of a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you'll have access to Early Entry - 30 magical minutes before the park opens. This is only offered by one park per day, so be sure to check the Park Hours. If you plan to take advantage of Early Entry, you'll want to make sure your theme park reservations match the park that is opening early each day.

Ashley, I'm getting even more excited for you as we continue talking! If I had one piece of advice to share, it's to be sure and take a few moments each day to be still and soak in the magic. There's something so special about these quieter moments and that's usually where you find the best memories. If you need any more tips and tricks for your visit, you know where to find us here at planDisney.

    Magic awaits!
