Hi there Tracey, welcome to planDisney!
It's great to assist a fellow Canadian with Disney Vacation Club questions, let's take a look!
When travelling to
Walt Disney World Resort, staying onsite at a Disney Collection Resort hotel has many benefits. Resort Guests can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and enjoy more time in the parks with
Early Theme Park Entry and
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours (for Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resort Hotels or Disney Deluxe Villas), add the
Disney Dining plan and dine at the many incredible restaurants and be immersed in the magic of the Disney Resort hotels and all of the theming. All Disney resort hotels provide complimentary
transportation to the theme parks whether by
bus,
water,
monorail or
Disney Skyliner.
Disney's Old Key West Resort offers transportation to the parks by bus and Guests are eligible for both Early Theme Park entry and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. The bus stop is conveniently located directly in front of Hospitality House and runs roughly 45 minutes before the park opens to one hour after closing. Be sure to check the My Disney Experience Mobile app for the bus times or you can also check the screen at the bus stop or ask a Cast Member. The length of the bus ride varies depending on which park you are travelling to but rides are usually under 15 minutes.
Tip: If you're looking for a unique experience at Disney's Old Key West Resort, head to the
Sandcastle Pool for a swim and then relax in the dry sauna inside the pool deck's lighthouse.
Tracey, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. Please
let me know if you have any other DVC or vacation planning questions!
Cheers,
Candace
