For our upcoming sailing in May we will embark and disembark at terminal #10 instead of DCL’s terminal #8. I would like to know if the process will be the same with luggage drop off and parking and boarding the way it’s done at DCL’s terminal #8?

    Ahoy, Cynthie!

It’s wonderful to hear about your upcoming adventure this May! It sounds like you’re already making plans for smooth sailing, and I’m here to help navigate your questions about Terminal 10.

Let me start by saying that while Terminal 8 at Port Canaveral is designed with Disney magic in mind, Terminal 10 offers a very similar process for luggage drop-off, parking, and boarding. Let’s walk through the steps to help you feel shipshape for embarkation day!

When you arrive at Terminal 10, you’ll first drop off your luggage with the porters, just as you would at Terminal 8. Be sure to have your Disney Cruise Line luggage tags securely attached to your bags before handing them over. If you forget or didn’t receive your tags, the friendly porters will have blank ones available. From there, your luggage will be whisked away and delivered to your stateroom later that day.

After dropping off your luggage, you’ll proceed to the parking garage adjacent to Terminal 10. It’s just as convenient as Terminal 8, with plenty of signage to guide you. Currently, parking fees are the same and can be paid on-site when you arrive.

Once parked, you’ll head into the terminal for security screening and check-in. This process mirrors what you’d experience at Terminal 8. Have your travel documents (passports or birth certificates with photo IDs), your DisneyBand+ (if purchased), and your Port Arrival Form (a digital copy works too!) handy.

From there, you’ll wait in the terminal for your boarding group to be called. Terminal 10 is not currently owned by Disney, and you may notice it doesn’t have the same Disney décor as Terminal 8. Rest assured, the Cast Members are just as magical, and they’ll make sure your embarkation process is smooth and stress-free. Once your group is called, you’ll head up the gangway to start your magical voyage!

For disembarkation at Terminal 10, the process is also similar to Terminal 8. You’ll either carry your luggage off the ship yourself with Express Walk-Off or leave it outside your stateroom the night before and collect it in the terminal after clearing Customs. Disney Cruise Line ensures everything runs efficiently, no matter which terminal you use.

Cynthie, your adventure aboard the Disney Cruise Line is going to be nothing short of pixie-dusted perfection. While Terminal 10 may not have all the bells and whistles of Terminal 8, the embarkation and disembarkation process will still feel seamless and well-organized.

As you count down to May, I hope the excitement builds like the fireworks at sea. Here’s wishing you smooth seas, magical moments, and all the Disney delights your heart can hold!

Sea ya real soon with pixie dust and ocean breezes,
    Dustin
