We have an upcoming reservation at the Yacht Club. I see that there is a Disney Family Wellness Resort Walk/Run on Friday mornings. I was wondering if there is a cost to register for the walk/run and if there is a prize - I know there used to be prizes.

Hi Kathryn, and welcome to planDisney!

I know that for many, getting some exercise is essential, and I do not blame them. It takes some “practice” to prepare for the marathon of walking that will take place each you visit one of the theme parks. In that case, it is always good to know that families have options when they visit Walt Disney World Resort! By the way, congratulations on your upcoming stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

You will be happy to know that the Disney Family Wellness Family Fun Walk/Runs is a free activity to register for. I love that the trail takes you along Crescent Lake, which means that the walk will include so many things to keep the family engaged with the sights they experience. Be sure to ask at the front desk for more information regarding dates and start times. In addition, you will find other offerings like Pickleball at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and other resort locations. If you do not have a paddle, no worries; each location offers complimentary equipment. I hope this helps.

Please let us know if you have additional questions; we are happy to help.

    Have a magical time!
